Services

Evidence for facilities, H&S and building owners.

01

Workplace ventilation compliance

Regulation 6 of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 requires “effective and suitable” ventilation with sufficient fresh or purified air. We measure whether each space achieves it — HSE guidance points to 5–8 litres per second per occupant.

  • Room-by-room fresh-air rate per person
  • Occupancy-based assessment
  • Findings mapped to your H&S risk assessment
02

Airflow measurement & verification

Capture-hood and anemometer readings at supply and extract grilles, AHU and fan performance checks, and comparison against design or commissioning data.

  • Identifies starved, over-supplied or dead zones
  • Post-fit-out and post-refurbishment checks
  • Independent of your M&E contractor
03

CO₂ & indoor air quality monitoring

Multi-point logging of CO₂, humidity, temperature and, where relevant, particulates over a working week, interpreted against BS EN 16798 and CIBSE guidance.

  • Reveals real occupancy patterns
  • Supports wellbeing and productivity cases
  • Clear thresholds and recommendations
04

Condensation & mould in commercial premises

Investigation of damp, condensation and mould in offices, stores, changing rooms and kitchens — cause, ventilation shortfall and remediation strategy.

05

Ventilation strategy & specification

Independent advice on natural, mechanical and mixed-mode strategies, referencing Section 3.14 of the Non-domestic Technical Handbook for new and altered buildings.

06

Portfolio & pre-acquisition surveys

Baseline ventilation and IAQ condition across multiple sites, prioritising investment and giving landlords and occupiers a shared record.

What “suitable ventilation” means

The numbers behind the duty.

The law sets the duty; the standards set the yardsticks. We report both, so a reading on page four means something to the person signing off page one.

How we work on site

Minimal disruption, maximum clarity.

We survey around your working day, set discreet loggers where people actually sit, and deliver one report with a summary page for leadership and the full dataset for your engineers. Where a fix is needed, the specification is written so any competent M&E contractor can price it.
